Paul has been involved in the financial markets since 2006 beginning his career as an equity trader in New York, USA. Following this, he worked in Prime Broking at Investec, a highly reputable South African investment bank, where he was responsible for the day-to-day back-end operations of some of South Africa’s top hedge funds. It was during this time he formed a relationship with value investing firm, Steyn Capital Management, where he eventually spent over nine years working his way up to the senior analyst of their award-winning Africa fund.
Since April 2021 Paul has been managing his own money. His entire portfolio is accessible to you through Lockstep.
Interests: Paul loves learning and might be the real driver behind his passion for investing. There are endless companies to study, fluid markets to interpret, and infinite ways to optimize a portfolio.
If he isn’t working then he is spending time with his family, and if he isn’t spending time with his family he is analyzing his golf swing.
